Microsoft Lumia 532

Microsoft had announced the most affordable Lumias in the market, the Lumia 435 and the Lumia 532. Both the smartphones are identical with a little hardware and price difference. Last time, I posted the review of the cheapest Lumia amongst the two, i.e. the Lumia 435 with a not so good score. Let’s just hope that Lumia 532 has something better to offer.

Tech Specs:
The Lumia 532 is also a Dual SIM device, like the Lumia 435. The device is 2G-3G-WiFi enabled, while the LTE mode is absent. It has a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen which supports up to 16M colours. The display has the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels with pixel density of 233 ppi. The touchscreen supports Multi-touch.
Unlike Lumia 435, this device has a better 5 MP primary snapper and the same VGA secondary snapper. Sadly, the primary camera can only record videos at 480p resolution. The Lumia 532 also has 8 GB of internal space which could be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of microSD card. Other connectivity options are microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP.
The phone runs on the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim on-top. It has a Qualcomm MSM8212 Snapdragon 200 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with a combination of 1 GB RAM. For handling graphics, it is powered by Adreno 302 GPU. A 1560 mAh Li-Ion battery provides juice to this device.

Review:
The Lumia 532 and Lumia 435 are identical and no doubt, both these devices are gorgeous. The touchscreen of Lumia 532 is good and the display’s resolution is also decent. All these features are similar to the Lumia 435.
This device has a better primary camera, though. It has a 5 MP primary camera and a VGA secondary camera. The performance of the primary camera is not very impressive but it is much better than the Lumia 435’s camera.
The phone runs on the latest version of Windows Phone 8.1 (Lumia Denim) and the good news is that it will be upgraded to Windows 10. This device sports a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 Quad-core processor which boosts the speed and reduces the time to open an application. The phone handles multi-tasking at ease, all thanks to the combination of 1 GB RAM. The performance of the Graphic Processing Unit is quite average.

Verdict:
The Lumia 532 is much better than the Lumia 435. The Lumia 532 has much better camera and processor. Though, the performance of the camera is still average but it’s far better than the camera of Lumia 435. The processor is also quite fast and reliable. The price difference between these two devices is not much. So, I would prefer to buy the Lumia 532 over the Lumia 435.
Keeping in mind all the pros and cons, I will rate it 4 out of 5.
