Review:

The Xperia M4 Aqua, like other Xperia smartphones, is a beautiful device in terms of looks and design. The edges are not sharp which makes it quite handy. The best part is the IP68 certification, which means like the flagship Xperia devices, this phone is also dust and waterproof. This gives it an edge over its competitors. The display is quite vibrant and the pixel density improves the viewing experience. Though, I expected at least FHD resolution, but still the display isn’t that bad.

The primary camera of Xperia M4 Aqua is quite impressive for low-light photography and even for recording videos. The secondary camera is also decent enough for clicking selfies and making video calls over Skype.

Talking about its performance then, I must say that I’m not really impressed with it. Being a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core powered device, I expected a little better performance but it is not up to mark. The RAM seems sufficient on paper but the RAM management system needs to be improved. The Adreno 405 GPU is superb and it manages the graphics very well.

Verdict:

Sony never disappoints when it comes to looks, design and built-quality of their devices. Like the other Xperia smartphones, this device also looks gorgeous. Let us have a look at some pros and cons of the device:

Pros:
  • ·      Impressive looks
  •     Good display
  • ·      LTE-support
  • ·      Amazing primary camera
  • ·      Water and Dust proof
  • ·      NFC

Cons:

  • ·      Slow processing
  • ·      RAM management needs improvement

The Xperia M4 Aqua is a decent smartphone. Features like IP-certification and NFC are its USP. Performance-wise, I would say that it is bit disappointing. I will still rate it 4 out of 5 because of its unique features and price.
