Nokia Lumia 730

Microsoft seems to be in really good mood after they replaced the brand name ‘Nokia’ to ‘Microsoft’. This means that now all the future Windows Phone devices by Microsoft will be called ‘Microsoft Lumia’. After this change, they have also announced that they will upgrade all the Windows Phone 8 devices to Windows 10. Well, that is surprising and good news for all Windows Phone owners.
Nokia Lumia 730 is one of the last devices that carry the ‘Nokia’ brand name.

Tech Specs:
The Nokia Lumia 730 is a Dual SIM smartphone which comes with 2G-3G-WiFi connectivity. It has a 4.7 inch OLED Capacitive touchscreen which can support up to 16M colours. The display has an HD resolution and pixel density of 316ppi. The ClearBlack enhances the quality of the display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 provides the necessary protection.
The device comes with 8 GB internal memory which could be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of microSD card. The connectivity options in this Lumia are Bluetooth 4.0 (LE), microUSB 2.0 and NFC.
For photography, it consists of a 6.7 MP primary camera unit with Carl Zeiss optics and LED flash and a 5 MP secondary camera with wider lens. Both the cameras are capable of recording videos at 1080p.
The phone runs on the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor unit clocked at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM. For handling graphics, it has an Adreno 305 GPU. A 2200 mAh Li-ion battery provides juice to this device.

Review:
The Nokia Lumia 730 is an amazing looking device. Its built quality is superb and the materials used are of good quality. The display of the smartphone is one of its key point. The screen size is just perfect and the resolution is good too. The ClearBlack Technology adds more to the display. It’s like Cherry on the top!
The primary camera of Lumia 730 is quite impressive. The Carl Zeiss optics is just amazing. The phone’s camera performs much better in the low-light conditions, compared to other devices in the price range. This phone is a Selfie-centric device, front camera being its main attraction. The secondary camera has a wider lens that lets you capture more people or objects in one click. Both the cameras are just fantastic.
The performance of Lumia 730 is also very impressive. The apps and games perform smoothly. There is no-lag in its performance but I am not happy with its GPU. The GPU is quite old now and that’s the only negative point in this phone. The battery is also decent enough and lasts a day with normal usage.

Verdict:
Well, personally I am in love with this Lumia. The design, the display, the camera and the performance is too good. The GPU is outdated but it can be accepted. I would request you all, please do not ask me whether this device could be a competitor to the Moto G (2014) because I really don’t like people comparing Windows Phone to Android. I would also like to add that there is no difference between Lumia 730 and Lumia 735, except for the LTE support.
All-in-all, I am really impressed with the performance of Lumia 730 and I would like to rate it 4.5 out of 5.
